EtherCAT Incremental Encoder Input Module
The incremental encoder calculates the position of the change through two pulse signals with a phase shift of 90 °. Incremental encoder subdivides a 360 ° axial displacement into independent incremental displacements. The complete rotation of the encoder shaft is represented by an independent special pulse, also known as zero pulse or Z-pulse. The number of incremental subdivisions determines the resolution and position accuracy of the encoder.
The HK-MK5-5002 encoder module is an incremental encoder acquisition module used for RS422 differential output, with a 32-bit orthogonal decoding counter and a latch for zero pulse and latch signals that can read the latch position and transmit the count and latch results to the controller through bus communication, thus achieving distributed encoder acquisition. This module uses a 4-fold frequency to sample and calculate the edges of all input signals, which can further improve resolution and acquisition accuracy.
