♦ Profinet is an open industrial Ethernet standard introduced by PI.
It uses TCP/IP and other IT standards and is standardized by IEC 61158 and IEC 61784. It has real-time functions and can be seamlessly integrated into the field bus system. With its openness, flexibility and performance advantages, PROFINET can be applied to process/factory automation, motion control and other fields. With PROFINET, deterministic response, microsecond hard real-time capability and integrated diagnostic function can be realized, which is an ideal basis for Industry 4.0 communication.
Profinet is a new generation automation bus standard based on industrial Ethernet technology. It provides a complete network solution for automation communication field, including current hot topics in automation field, such as real-time Ethernet, distributed automation, fault safety and network security.
♦ PROFINET mainly has two communication methods.
1) Real-time communication between controller and distributed I/O is realized by PROFINET IO.
2) Communication between distributed intelligent devices is realized through PROFINET CBA.
From a PROFINET perspective, PROFINET IO facilitates modular, distributed applications over Industrial Ethernet, i.e. with PROFINET IO, distributed I/O and field devices can be integrated into the PROFINET network, while significantly reducing configuration and go-live debugging time in machine and factory construction, and responding faster and more flexibly to different customer requirements.
In order to meet the needs of customers, Hongke has launched the self-developed HK-ST35 series distributed remote PROFINET IO module, which focuses on providing the acquisition and output functions of switch and analog in industrial automation field, and supports signal types such as DI, DO, AI, AO, high-speed counting, thermal resistance, thermocouple, etc. It can connect the input and output modules of distributed IO to PROFINET bus to meet the requirements of the equipment for PROFINET communication.
